Our founder, Doug left his hourly job at Hormel Foods, Rochelle and started a modest meat processing business. Doug and his family provided custom processing for farmers and families in the surrounding communities. They processed beef, pork, and lamb.
In 1994, the second generation took the helm and transitioned the business to exclusively wholesaling pork products and in 1995 became a USDA federally inspected facility.
Over the years, Spectrum has expanded its facility and implemented automation in its production processes.
The third generation is eager to continue Spectrum’s growth while serving their customer’s needs.
